5K Run with my Love

This Saturday Eth and I woke up early and headed out for Keller Town Hall to run in a 1 mile fun run. When we got there we found that all of the spots were gone for the 1 mile but there were spots open in the 5K. I wasn't sure that it was the best idea for my buddy's first run, but he covinced me he could do it so we went for it. It was raining and kind of miserable, but my little man hung in there. He was by far the youngest child in the 5K and so that helped us develop quite a fan base. At every water stop or road block people cheered him on and he ate it up! It was a great experience, I am so proud of him!

1st day of school and Linc. turns 1!

Funny boys

My boys, as all parents must say, are constantly making us laugh and smile. But, Kaden takes the cake. He is such a funny little man, who has a knack for putting his clothes on backwards and his shoes on the wrong feet, sunglasses upside down etc. He's not doing it to be funny, the man just happens to get things on backwards, you would think 50% of the time they would be on correctly but nope, it must be about 80% backward, and that is better than it was a few months ago. When he does it, he insists on keeping them that way, he says they look better, so, my 4 year old goes around town with his clothes on backwards and he likes it. Probably once a month I hear a loud crash and it is Kade running into a wall because he likes to walk around with his eyes closed or with a paper bag or pillow case on his head. He has an imaginary pet Hamster named "Scooby Ham" who is always talking to him, singing with him etc. He also once a day asks "Whoa, did you see that? I just won Indiana Jones Wii in my head!" or "Do you hear that? That song that is singing in my head?" About a month ago he looked at me with a big sigh and then said "Mom, I lost a life today. I was walking down the street and it jumped in the trash can." I guess he thinks he is like a cat and has a few lives to spare. He thinks that Jesus is made of marshmallows, because he is "really white and fluffy". The man lives in his own reality and it is a funny world. I adore my little boyfriend!

Ethan Swim team

This summer Eth has been competing on our community swim team the Heritage Hurricanes. These are 2 of his favorite coaches. He practiced everyday of the week except Mondays which were meet days. They worked the kids really hard, and I thought he would get burned out, but he loved it.

Family

Grandma and Grandpa Urish and my gorgeous niece Ki came out to stay with us for a couple of weeks while Mi and I went on a trip to Curacao in April. We spent a few days before we left having fun at the Great Wolf Lodge which is about 20 mins. from our house. The boys loved having them here, and almost didn't seem to want us to come home.

Branson Trip

A few months ago the boys and I took a LONG road trip to Branson Missouri to meet our good friends the Sneddons. We had so much fun, staying in a cabin, making smores, playing in the hot tub and doing a "Ride the Ducks" boat/road tour. It was so heart breaking to say goodbye to our friends, wow we miss them! I wish that I could have taken a picture of Ethan and his girlfriend Kate with her head on his shoulder, holding hands, watching a movie together. It was cute, he adores her, and swears she is the only girl for him. She is wonderful and beautiful, and has the greatest parents on the planet, so I am on board!

Linc.

Linc. is a sweet, easy going little lover. For a long time he just had one little tooth, it was so cute, he now has another right next to it and it seems a lot more soon to come.
We call him the puppy because he likes to lick everything. We have been told that the muscle under Kade's tongue is too short so it causes him to struggle with some words. Somehow I don't think Linc. will have that problem.

Happy National Wacky Hat Day!!

So, a while ago it was National Wacky Hat Day. The boys thought that would be a great time for Mom to show how creative she is. Those who know me know that I am painfully un-crafty, but I was pretty proud of myself with Kade's rabbit hat and Ethan's crazy graduation hat. Obviously, I ran out of steam by the time it came to Lincoln, the poor little man got a plastic cup tied to his head and Ethan taped a sign on top of it which read "kiss me naw" (kiss me now). The boys wanted to parade all around town wearing their hats for about a week straight, until tragedy struck and Kade's was sat on and Ethan's eaten by the dog.

My cute boys

The boys have been begging to ride this train since we moved here. It rides under an over pass and through a kind of ghetto park in downtown, so I kept evading their requests, but I finally gave in. It was actually fun... I like seeing people warm their hands over a fire in a trash can how about you?

Wow I am stupid! or... The Boys Christmas Present

Something is wrong with me. This November I asked the boys to write a Christmas list, and both boys returned with only one thing on both lists. A dog. So, I tried for weeks to show them ads and commercials to get them interested in anything else, but to no avail. Ethan has been putting money in a piggy bank for about two years now and saving for a dog- since we used the expense as our excuse for not getting one. I realized after I saw their lists that I was done for, so we drove out to a farm and picked up this cute little lab. Her name is Cali and she is a good dog, but I am still the world's biggest idiot, not only am I changing diapers, but I am also cleaning up after a dog and trying to stop her from destroying our fairly new house. I'm a sucker, what can I say.

Lincoln

This is what our sweet little Linc looks like all the time. He is the easiest, smiliest little person on the planet. He loves going to movies with us, he'll just sit in his car seat or on my lap and watch quietly, and always with that perfect little smile on his face.

I know that we are doomed, since we have the world's easiest babies doesn't that mean we have to have trouble from these kids sometime? Maybe the teenage years?!?

Big Damage

So, I had to post this up because this picture is just so classic of what happens in our house on a daily basis.
Ethan is so sweet and sensitive, always trying to love his brothers, and Kade, well...
Kaden has been aptly named "Big Damage" by Uncle Mark.
When we told Ethan that we were pregnant with Linc he said "oh great, another one to beat up on me". Yep, Big Damage sure does live up to his name.
